Session 30: Forg Finale

General Summary

After an evening in Quinton, where they relax and prepare for the day ahead and casting the ritual.
The next morning, the Seekers and city guard of Stonehaven begin to arrive with the Wardens of Balance druids travelling through the trees, maps and plans, Aofrik Hannara talks to the group of Seekers, fighters and druids and lays out the plan to head out to the ritual sites.
Niantian heads out with the party of Seekers and begins to get ready for the ritual.
The first ritual is conducted without incident, the party waiting and preparing to meet any interuption. They move on to the last site
At the second site, the Froghemoth, a pet of the Lords of Rot and Ruin attacks near the end of the ritual, pulling itself from a stinking maw rent in reality from its stinking realm. The Froghemoth tries to attack Niantian but Arenor protects the druid, so instead it atempts to pull up the tree with its Giant tentacles. Flic is swallowed by the beast, Ofelia leaps up the slimy body and stabs at its eye-stalk while Ash tries to slice at its legs As they continue hurting it, 4 pustles explode on its back and 4 smaller froghemoth creatures attack, one swallows Grubbis uses Enlarge to rip himself free of its stomach.
They continue to fight with the froghemoth, which is being healed from the realm behind, Ofelia gets swallowed by the behemoth and almost killed by the Cloud of Daggers that Flic had cast in its stomach.
The Froghemoth had two of its tentacles around the tree ripping at it and almost pulling it up when it eventually fell to the heroes assault, the final blow being the Cloud of Daggers slicing it up from the inside.
With the frog beast dead, the druid was able to finish its ritual. Returning to Quinton, the Seekers and druids all fought hard and completed their rituals. The Forest Magic once more anchored to the leylines, the magic begins to flow properly again and balance is restored.
A large feast ensures, the dead are mourned, the victory celebrated. Ofelia announces their intention to go with the warden,
