Magda Lynne

Many a musical wonder has passed through the hands of the master Magda Lynne. They are the premier craftsmen for musical instruments of the highest quality in Arbor. Their instruments are said to be nothing short of masterpieces themselves and the notes they are capable of playing can soothe any soul no matter how tortured.

Appearance

Magda is quite an old man, and the years of toiling over a work bench have certainly done a number on his back and hands. His grey wiry hair is usually kept out of the way with a simple tie though often the wild mess escapes it's clutches. Magda settles for very little less than the absolute best prefering to be clothed in finery and silks as his station can afford. A monocle rests just in front of his eye at all times a glint of silvery light winking through the obvious sign of some greater magic.

Personality

Magda is a harsh man, decades of attempting to be the very best have left him bitter and controlling. He has had many apprentices over the years though none have lasted more than a few weeks. He is exceptionally demanding and more than a little paranoid. He believes that his apprentices are at best incompetent and at worst there to steal from him. He is a man seeking accomplishment though and will do anything and everything to secure victory in a number of contests for craftsmanship across the city. He is a deeply competitive individual and hates to lose.

Background

Magda is one of two apprentices to the great Calliope a craftsmen of great renown and before her passing the maker of the Black Bird - Violin. Though the Violin has since been lost it's impact and ability to move audiences to tears through its beauty are still spoken of in certain circles. During his apprenticeship there was a falling out with the other apprentice Petra. This did not bother Magda and while Petra faded into obscurity Magda proved to be almost as good as his master though never quite equaling her.
