Calliope

To say that Calliope was important to the musical industry is an understatement of such a gross magnitude you may as well say that the invention of fire was unimportant in the grand scheme of the history of the races. Calliope created some of the most well crafted and celebrated items in all of Arbors history. In addition to this Calliope is credited with multiple accomplishments in how best to craft and create various musical instruments incorporating steam technology. Calliope is also the master of Magda Lynne who is themselves a celebrated craftsmen. Calliope is such a celebrated craftsmen they are the credited with the creation of the Zephyr Auction a yearly event where a single instrument is chosen and then auctioned off the cities elite.
"Calliope was truly gifted and thankfully that gift passed down to one of their apprentices... it's a shame about the other" - unknown

Appearance

Calliope was an ordinary human woman, not touched or special in any psychical or even magical way. Her appearance was fairly ordinary even up to the day she died, her unassuming appearance and modest dress belied the genius that lay within. She was a larger woman who carried herself like a person with the weight of the world upon her shoulders, though never faltering.

Personality

As a true genius Calliope was difficult to get to know her methods and techniques exact and precise as she was at least in her early life. From accounts of her apprentices she mellowed much in her old age and simply wished to hear her instruments play even wishing that she could hear all of them at once in a grand orchestra.

Background

For such a celebrated figure little is known of where she came from only that she must have come from some amount of wealth in order to afford the initial start up costs of setting up a workshop. Perhaps one of the Old Families bastard daughters shuffled off to somewhere she wouldn't cause trouble. In any case it's only after her explosion into stardom that most are even concerned with her at all.

Relationships

Aside from her two apprentices Calliope remained alone until the day she died. Never taking a lover or a husband and leaving no heirs behind.
