Arashi Katai

As of today Arashi is one of the most powerful women in the city of Arbor, her recpaie/invention has revolutionized the city in ways even she did not imagine. She could simply hang up her hat and rest on her laurels so to speak but she is forever seeking new ways to improve the recipe and get more out of Star Light than the day before. What doesn't help though is her relationship with drink as she is a raging alcoholic and half the time when her assistants think she is working on some improvement for Star light she is instead making refined alcohol.

Appearance

Arashi is a Fae Touched human with gray short hair and almost luminescent green eyes, despite her advanced age she seems to be a woman in her early 30s and no more than that. However what has taken its toll is the amount of alcohol she has imbibed over the decades, her skin which may have at one time been quite pale has taken on a yellowish hue much the same as the whites of her eyes. In addition her hands have been known to have quite severe tremors that make writing or handling distilling tools difficult if not impossible. Her clothes are often always in a perpetual state of appearing to be coming on or off of her and she appears to have gotten dressed in the dark that is unless he assistant has had a moment to adjust her.

Personality

Arashi is a woman who was always looking for a way to stop being poor and has an acute understanding of what it feels like to be at the bottom of the barrel. This manifests in her personality as she seemingly has no idea what to do with the success she has been granted even decades later. She still is pursuing growth in a way that screams of trying to escape from a sinking ship all the while finding some solace at the bottom of a bottle. Arashi though is also a fierce woman capable of whipping the pipemen into a frenzy should the need arise. She knows what she is owed and the pipemen owe her big time so if she comes collecting you better have your payment ready.

Background

Arashi was dirt poor like so many within the Twigs her family at a young age had her working in any factory that would have her, she bounced from job to job and one day she just aged out of climbing through small gaps and narrow passages to unclog machines. It was expected that she would simply find a new job at the same factory doing what her father and mother did before they died. Arashi didn't want that though instead she decided she rather liked her freedom that being bound by another person even if they were paying her was slavery by another name.

Rumors

Arashi is rumored to have once been much less reliant on the drink in order to survive but whatever traumatic event occured to change this she has told no one as far as anyone can say, and asking about is likely to get you shouted at or shot at depending on her mood.

Relationships

Arashi isn't currently in a relationship though she does appear to have taken her assistant into her bed on more than one occasion. Nothing more serious than that though.

Allegiance

Arashi has fostered a strong alliance with the leaders of the Gilded making sure to keep the pair on side at all times.

Quite clever when she's sober and an expert alchemist just watch what she's trying to make it might end up just being booze instead of anything helpful.
