River Flu

River Flu is a foul and pestilent disease that is spread by the murky waters of the river. The disease begins with a sudden fever, chills, and a headache that pounds like a relentless drumbeat. Within a few days, the infected person will endure muscle aches that make it feel like their bones are being crushed, fatigue that weighs them down like a heavy cloak, and nausea that churns their stomach like a tempestuous sea.
Some unfortunate souls stricken with River Flu may also experience vomiting and diarrhea, leaving them weak, dehydrated, and utterly miserable.   River Flu is not a deadly disease, and most people recover within a few days or weeks without treatment. However, the disease can be a danger to the elderly and those with weakened constitution.
