Thought Paper
Consisting of Electrumbark fibers enchanted with a mindreading spell. When attuning to this paper you may freely manipulate the contents on it, allowing for quick notetaking and quick planning when using a larger canvas. The extent to which one can manipulate the paper is so fine that one with sufficient psionic training can create images.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The paper attunes to its owner, when changing owners the previous owner has to consent. When the owner focuses on the paper, they are able manipulate the colors of the material.
Using it requires practice however, beginners are usually only able to manifest characters and simple shapes, experienced users may automatically fill in details when drawing images and expert users can project mental images onto the material.
Manufacturing process
Electrumbark fibres are woven together into the required shape, the Electrumbark pulp is combined with water and goes through a process where it's flattened, dried, and cut into sheets of electrumleaf. Both layers are then fused using Ingenetei's method.
The wild magic emitted by the electrumbark fibers in the electrumleaf can then be manipulated by an extremely experienced shaper. The wild magic inside the fibers turns into psionic magic with mind reading capabilities and the electrumleaf holds a manipulation enchantment. The combination of these enchantments allow for complex manipulation of the canvas.
Significance
Used by nearly everyone who can afford it, this item holds major significance and many people rely on it, some pieces are passed down for generations.
Rarity
Someone with access to the middle tier of District Elysium can request the construction of this item at a specialized electrum forge. If one doesn't have access to the middle tier, they can likely find smaller pieces of thoughtpaper in markets across the city. It is uncommon to see this in the outer districts but in upper district elysium may be used for advertisement and decoration.
