The youngest member of the Ignis family, a Steelgate noble family of low renown. Nicole never aspired to fill the positions traditionally filled by her family, logistics management within the Steelgate Guns & Shells Manufacturing. Her first hope was that, like her brother, Terance Yl Ignis, she would be conscripted into the army, making a career there. She would enlist, but her father would never allow that. Conscription came and she was passed over.
In frustration, she left the training fields, going to the furthest place from her family she could think of, Steelgate's Lower City. There she was beset by multiple armed individuals, members of the Broken Gauntlet Syndicate. Unarmed as she was, having had to return her issued training rifle and not currently carrying any other weapon, she had little hope of fending them off. At this time, the broken gauntlet syndicate was mainly comprised of angry and aggressive individuals, more than eager to kill those better off than they, minor revenge on their lot in life. She would have died there. She should have died there.
It was then that her fate changed. A masked individual in a coat resembling something a doctor might wear.
