The Wilderness Uprising

During the Bloodthirst Regent's war against the Elven Kingdom, resources began to grow scarce. His majesty's soldiers were starving and weak, their despair causing people to lash out against strangers and even their own comrades. The Regent was aware of the Wilderness settlements all over the continent and, sensing free food and shelter that's easy to conquer, advised or rather commanded his people to storm the tents and caravans; including but not limited to Iomer's, the Dûngar's, colourful residence.
Iomer, who had considered himself a friend of the dwarves, grew significantly more hostile towards them. Since the dwarven king didn't know who he was, but remembered his friendship with Konkôr Barbendt, the Tinkerer's founder and fellow dwarf, he accepted Iomer's request to entertain him as a sign of good will of the darkelves.
Iomer and his group of jesters and acrobats were immediately led into his palace when they arrived in Dânmaer, being offered supper and accommodation which they declined, since they didn't want to stay for too long. As they made their way to the throne room, the Bloodthirst King asked them to close the door. He didn't want to be disturbed while having some fun. Iomer and his friends entertained and charmed him, when he climbed onto his throne and whispered into his ear:
"Did you really think I'd let you feast on what's ours and kill my people just like that? Greetings from the Wilderness, your highness."
A swift cut through his throat followed.
On his way out, Iomer made sure to kill all those that opposed him; to his surprise, only few did. He left the palace with the king's crown on his head. Prince Stormgard rushed to his father's corpse, understanding that a new era had begun. Iomer proclaimed himself the Jester King and leader of the Wilderness. He hasn't been challenged to a duel yet and it's doubtful whether anyone dared to take the crown from him.
