Law of Gravity

Written by Pookas Kreations

Isaac Newton discovered the Law of Gravity and explained it in this way. Every object is subject to the gravitation pull of the planet or celestial body that they happen to be on. The core of the planet and its spin around the sun cause this force to act on these objects. This force is proportional to their mass and inversely proportional to the distance between their centers squared.   Of course, many laws like these were observed before higher forms of math were even discovered. So they were observed, but not mathematically proven. They were treated as beliefs, not science. Some thought this was an effect that the gods ordained and that attributing it to science was blasphemy or heresy, specifically since anything having to do with technology was forbidden because of the horrors that the Atlantean race perpetrated on Aquatica herself.   When he postulated this theory, he was imprisoned for heresy, and was almost hanged for his "crimes", when he was about to be hanged a handsome dark-haired man appeared. He stood before the gallows, and froze the proceedings, then called the priests and judge before him. He told them in no uncertain terms that he gave Newton the inspiration for his new Law, thus it came from a God and was not heresy.    They commuted his sentence on the spot, and pardoned him. Everafter Newton was a follower of Oghma, God of inspiration and science.

Manifestation

Objects fall to the ground, holds objects to the ground.

Localization

This law is localized, it only affects the object that is falling, and doesn't allow objects to fly into space.

The equation for gravity is: F=G m1 m2/r2, f is gravity acting between 2 objects, m1 and m2 are their masses, r is the distance between the centers of their masses, and G is the gravitational constant.

A simpler form of the equation is: Force of gravity = mass of object 1 x mass of object 2/distance from centers squared.

I enjoyed the twist regarding Newton and the deity who saved him.
