This is a serious condition that causes burnout with the crystal singers.

Causes

The cause is a neurological disruption caused by a corrupted ultrasonic soundwave coming from the crystals when fierce wind storms cause even the crystals pain.
Causes overuse--prolonged and excessive use of their crystal-based abilities. incorrect or inefficient use of crystal-based technologies personal or professional stress. insufficient rest and recovery time between periods of intense crystal work.

Symptoms

Physical

• extreme fatigue, accompanied by weakness, and lethargy.
• aches and pains throughout the body, particularly in the hands, arms, and back.
• sensory overload--hypersensitivity to light, sound, and touch.
• weakened immune system, and more susceptibility to illness, and infection.

Mental

• emotional instability--mood swings, irritability, anxiety, and depression.
• difficulty concentrating, memory loss, and impaired judgment.
• diminished musical ability (for singers), and a decline in creative expression.
• a sense of detachment, and disconnection from others, and the world.
• weakened connection to the crystal network, and the universal energy flow.

Treatment

There is no treatment for this illness.

Prognosis

No one that has this condition ever lasts very long, some do live a long time with this  Not everyone has the same debilitating symptoms or effects. Some only have a few, others have many or all. Depending on how bad they are, the guild takes care of their own. Even finding other jobs for them, paying for hospitalization, or retirement. Because of the side effects, they can never leave the orbit of the planet that they worked on.

There is a way to prevent it, but it lowers the performance of the crystal singers.
