Ash Storm

This is similar to a dust storm but with ash. It can happen anywhere there has been a large fire but is common in Teranik. It usually occurs in arid and semi-arid regions. They arise when a gust front or other strong wind blows loose ash from a dry surface.

Ash storms can be very dangerous and can smother or choke hapless travelers when care is not taken. The best way to survive is to find shelter and wait it out.

Sight is obscured as in a heavy fog, visibility can be limited to only a few feet away.
