The Faceless
One of the 5 main factions of the governing bodies of Ixbaezia, the Faceless are a secretive group that work behind the scenes in Ixbaezia. The Faceless are made up of high profile criminals who were inevitably captured and exiled. They now take on protege's throughout the city and mold them into agents that are reintroduced into society. These proteges consist of individuals born in Ixbaezia and un-branded allowing them to leave the Desolation. The protege help them continue their work and use it to benefit Ixbaezia. They dabble in extortion, bribery, blackmail, and assassination.
Structure
The Faceless are run by one person simply referred to as "Mother." The faceless wear masks when attending meetings and their real identities are concealed from each other and the public. Identities are only revealed between Master and Student as the proteges act on their masters behalf when assisting them run their organization outside of Ixbaezia.
This faction currently has 3 head members under the Mother who each have their own group of silent workers. Each head member has a Protege or Student that has as much power of their master when they are absent.
Religion
Like most of Ixbaezia, they follow Safokang and perform her rite regularly to grant them protection and warmth in the cold desolation. However, they don't treat their prayer like religion, it is closer to a tradition passed down since the founding of the city. They pray to her name, but there are no statues or temple dedicated to their goddess. The people of Ixbaezia have never known anything more about their goddess, she was a name lost to the ages and a face even further gone.
