The First Drunkards

The First Drunkards is a tale told by High Elves, detailing one of the ancient Elves interactions with Feny Lekki, The Beacon of Light.   It is said that when Feny Lekki first created The Feywild, its new denizens, the Elves (more closely resembling Eladrin) were overwhelmed with the powerful emotional energies that fuelled the realm. To rectify this, Feny Lekki gifted the Elves an artifact known as The Merry Mug, a silver goblet that refills with an enchanted wine that is said to lighten the soul and banish sorrow, in order to teach his new children the art of revelry. However, Feny Lekki underestimated the potency of the magic, and soon the Elves descended into a bellingerent and hostile state.   It was this that taught Feny Lekki and Elves the importance of moderation, an important pillar in Elven culture. This lack of control also convinced Haught Lekki that mortals needed discipline, and must be ruled over with an iron fist in order to achieve anything.
