The Beveret Codex

"It is our hope to provide clear and guidance in the face of the unrest caused by the recent actions of a few who were once Dichotomist pastors. Let our position be known: the text that has come to be known as the Beveret Codex is a work of dangerous untruth. To promote a text with the potential to be so hazardous to the values that our faith holds dear—to justice, honesty, responsibility, and understanding—is nothing short of heresy."   — Casim Indalin I, Seventh King of the Holy Nation of Elasiril, 40 YC
When the document that would come to be known as the Beveret Codex arrived at the doorstep of the Cathedral of the Balancer in the heart of Beveret, chaos and discord began to unfold within a matter of days. It took a few days shy of a month for the text to be copied nearly a hundred times, disseminated among the most senior pastors at the Cathedral, declared heretical by an emergency meeting of the authoritative figures of the Elasirilian church, and then systematically destroyed. Though records of the debacle remain, any scraps of the original text have long since been purged from history.
