Gor'magh

That Which Consumes; Sin

Gor'magh is a god that depicts lust and complete surrender to baser instincts. It is depicted as a writhing mass of flesh that weaves in and out of itself. There are naked bodies, both men and women, of varying races, that make up its outer shell. This mass has no real dimensions as it grows bigger and smaller with no discernible pattern. The mass is covered in various fluids, tho what they are is not precisely known. If it ever does place itself upon a surface, it leaves behind a sticky substance much like that of a snail. These fluids act as an incredibly powerful aphrodisiac to any creatures in the area and those that touch it sometimes lose themselves to what they covet the most.
I know you. I've been inside of you. I can taste what you want. Give it to me and I shall make what you desire most yours forever. Why should you not have it? You are deserving. More than that harlot. Close your eyes. Let me feel it.
At times Gor'magh does take on a shape, and that is typically of a man. Its thick, muscular body and the disjointed, broken wings that sprout from its back are covered with the same thick ichor. Its body is covered in dirt and filth from sources one would be better off not knowing. Those lost in their avarice and lust clamor against each other, reaching out for Gor'magh who stands at the center. Its hair is about shoulder-length but there is a three inch section at the very center that is cut away down to his scalp, all the way back. It is said that as creatures give in to their desires, more of their soul is siphoned into Gor'magh and upon death they become an aspect of this insatiable drive. Many believe this is how some of the first ghouls and vampires came into existence, but no one knows for certain. He typically doesn't care for non-sentient creatures, preying more on the intelligent of the species inhabiting Aonus.
Out of all the pantheon, Gor'magh is possibly the only one that actively pursues mortal men, finding enjoyment out of twisting perceptions and realities. It whispers into the ears of creatures, driving them to act on their desires, whether it is sex, violence, or greed. Some people may even pray to Gor'magh to get what they want. This is typically the love of another who does not reciprocate their feelings. However, there is always a price and not one that is paid lightly.

It's voice sounds like its coming from many different mouths, though sometimes one comes to the foreground above others. This can shift randomly, becoming a thick man's voice or a more poetic woman's voice. It can hiss with serpentine venom or massage the ears with a smooth vibrato.

"That Which Consumes" is such a great term and the quote is appropriately creepy. :)   I'd consider splitting up the first section perhaps into paragraphs and perhaps move the quote to the middle of that to mark the divide, but that's just me. :)   Nicely done!

Danke! I will certainly look at shifting it around a bit for better readability. Thanks!

Very creepy and dark I love it! I am curious though, do gods in your world truly exist or are they merely explanations people made up for things they can't understand? If they are real do they live on/control a realm or other plane of existence?

They exist, but they don't exist on any plane that mortals can understand, or even visit. Its a place beyond concept. It is and it isn't. They also very rarely interact with mortals, except for Gor'magh, tho he does it more in the way of subtle manipulations. I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

You should maybe google the difference between "its" and "it's" '^^ Besides that, a really great and spooky article! Well done.

Haha, I knew I was using the wrong syntax. Thanks for catching that and thanks!
