What is the Energy of Consciousness?

Although known by different names in various circles, sometimes called "Spirit", "Essence", "Force of Will", or "Power of the Mind", the Energy of Consciousness is a well known force to exist in the world of Aode. Every conscious being produces some amount of power from simply being conscious. The amount of energy produces is nebulous and depends of an innumerable amount of factors. For example, more energy seems to be produced from people with stronger convictions, older in age, and power in mind.

How can it be harnessed?

Two main schools of thought are at the forefront of discussion when it comes to Spirit. It can be given freely, or taken by force. Spirit given freely through devotion and belief is what creates Aodean Gods, and they redistribute the and grant power given to them through belief to other followers who desire miracles. Spirit taken through force is generally known as Black Majic.
