Drydrake

Synopsis
A drydrake is a animalian dragon that has been widely used across Naufath due to their abnormally docile nature, omnivorous diet, and lack of hazardous breath. They originally were made as large mindless land brutes to act as legions of hulking scaled brawns to overwhelm enemy armies on the ground while their dragon masters dominate the air. They proved effective on the battlefield until the invention of Black Grain, shortly followed by end of the war. The drydrakes were left adrift without proper masters, forming herds and ravaging farmlands. Some reacted with extermination, but many deciding to tame the beasts. They are twice as strong as an oxhorn, able to defend themselves, and the only downsides were slightly more food consumption and a less stamina. The are not able to be saddled, but bridles and harnesses allow them to pull wagons and equipment, and as draconic beings they are well suited to adapting to any environment.
In the Blacklands
Deep within the Blacklands, it is said that the drydrakes are becoming something far worse as the Winged Deniers continue their war efforts. The laminian breeding pits have been producing larger and more monstrous creations. An undeniable product of this experimentation is one of the first successes, the six legged and petrifying basilisk. Recent reports from Blackwater Break mention drydrakes as large as castles, with defenses and buildings carved into their scaly hides, dozens of feet in thickness. Others include beasts with horns as thick as trees designed to pierce through solid stone and metal, great rectangular skulls, acting as bulletproof shields for the very front lines, or even adapting to swim in the Inner sea of Lesterrainia. A new war, far more devastating than the last, may be on the horizon.
