Anvilheim

Scope

The motivation behind building Anvilheim

I am building this world for the purposes of a Live-play campaign.   Inspired by the very concept of World Anvil itself, characters are designed to visit a multitude of worlds that are available to explore on World Anvil and interact with them.

The goal of the project

I am hoping to make a fun and engaging game that will not only entertain audiences but also showcase great author's works and encourage others to explore World Anvil Worlds.

Anvilheim's Unique Selling point

The unique element is that it's an inclusive world that features the collective inspiration gathered from countless influences.   Because each game is unique based on the world and the authors of those worlds, the genre, themes and even plot can be almost fluid based on the GM or choices of venue.

Theme

Genre

The basic theme is adventurous fantasy/science fiction. Both magic and science are married together and elevated with each other. Though there is a divide between those who treat the world as a religious body and those who treat it as a government body.

Reader Experience

Players should feel like they are part of something great, but unique despite the mass versatility of the organization.

Reader Tone

Somewhere in the middle,   Horrible things do happen from time to time, and some worlds they visit might be bleak, but for the most part the good guys win and bad guys struggle.

Recurring Themes

reccuring theme is that while the world treats order as a "good" thing, sometimes breaking those binds can be the right thing to do as well.

Character Agency

Players will have tons of agency, there are a number of subsets of the primary organization and it will be up to the players to either fall into or rebuff those feelings.

Focus

The multitude of worlds and exploration of different works.
A sliders/quantum leap style adventure where players must "blend in" to their new realm
Opposing a great evil that works in the dark
Secret conspiracy theories!
