Parvis
Parvis is a small island on the south end of the world map. The location of Parvis is unknown to the rest of the world as the violence in the Shattered Sea has kept many from exploring the southern most seas. It hosts an abundance of supercharged mithral in its center most mountain. The island is claimed by the Kingdom of Parvis.
Geography
Parvis is an island south of Gigantaros. Parvis hosts two mountain ranges, dense forests, a river, lakes, and a large center volcano.
Ecosystem
The Great Protector is the deity worshipped on Parvis and as such the people of the island pay great attention to preserving nature. The forests are lush and green. Many of the trees are thousands of years old. The ecosystem has some strange food chain differences due to the evolution of many species because of the abundance of supercharged mithral within Mount Arcanum.
Localized Phenomena
Some of the local evolved species are as follows.
Silver Stags
Silver Stags grow streaks of mithral in their fur and have antlers made of mithral.
Armored Wolves
The fur of armored wolves is tipped with mithral giving their fur a light armor.
Mithral Pine Trees
These trees grow mithral needles as well as normal green needles.
Mithral Touched
Mithral Touched refers to an effect(feat) that many who constantly work with mithral get on their skin and eyes. It effects mostly mages and smiths. It takes physical form by turning the veins and skin of the upper arms mithril silver/blue, and also can turn eye color into mithral silver,blue.
Silver Claw Mountain Lions
These mountain lions are very aggressive and dangerous. Their claws have turned into mithral. Their claws are always especially sharp.
Whoop-Whoop Bushes
The whoop bushes have been mostly domesticated by the Temuge family in Ephesia. They are a type of vampiric bush.
Fauna & Flora
The forest is formed largely of coniferous trees. In the south western side quadrant of the island the forest is largely made up of fruit trees. They seem randomly grown but are in fact grown into unnoticeable paths made by the Firbolg of Ephesia. These trees are all part of the Temuge Orchards.
Natural Resources
There is a large amount of mithral within Mount Arcanum.
History
Founding
Around 3000 years ago Parvis brought his village people to this island that is now named after him. This is also where the majority of the island population came from. The rest of the population being Firbolg when they shoed up 700 years after Parvis.
Hurricane
In the time of King Edmund the second, A hurricane swept along the shores of Loyan. The storm missed the majority of the city, but the port at the city was obliterated. Not many died but the damage was costly and set the city back in years of work.
The Harbingers of Tasidar
The sky turned black with no stars. A hole opened up and out of it came an angel with seven individuals. The houses of power killed the individuals, but couldn’t kill the angel. Instead the Arcandens trapped it in the Mythril Mountain. This is part of why the mythril of the island is supercharged with magic, and also is the reason behind some of the effects the mythril has had on the animals and people of the land.
Eruption of Mount Arcanum
800 years ago Mount Arcanum erupted killing 3,000 citizens living in Cadmore. Cadmore was at 8,000 then.
