Icarus Shadowfeng
Baron Icarus Shadowfeng (a.k.a. Face-Eater)
Icarus Shadowfeng is technically a Baron but does not view the title as meaningful. During his youth he was a dreaded pirate, gladiator, and captain of the Baby Badger Boarding Party. During this time he was sometimes known as "The Face Eater". He also was a star and co-writer "Outcasts, Old Beer, and Freedom" the legendary rock-opera that gained international fame after debuting in Bradis. Rumors say that after his life as a pirate and participating in the assassination of the Dragon Emperor he turned to a different form of crime and worked under Boss Shadowfeng of the Triumvirate. Now he rules the Leonin, having united the prides through death challenges and marriage, he has had children born to every pride and cemented his power by collecting ancient holy relics of the Leonin pantheon. And while the Kingdom(formerly duchy) of Hansolan recognizes him as the Baron of the Pridelands he disregards the human government and rules as he sees fit. He is currently in a building up stage, purchasing weapons, armor, and provisions for his eventual war on Hansola.

Personal history
Icarus was born in the pridelands the son of noted warrior Likon of the Shadowfeng Pride. His father was a reformist who wanted to change the Shadowfeng reputation from one of dark killers to one of honor. Likon was about to become chief of the pride but many of his reforms, such as never eating the flesh of humanoids, did not sit well with the rest of the Shadowfeng. The day before Likon was to be crowned, his brother, Icarus' uncle Scarabith killed him to prevent the changing of Shadowfeng life. Icarus left the pride shortly after and was raised to adulthood by his great uncle in Prideville, the only permanent settlement in the Pridelands. His great uncle was a retired war-chief and now lived as a carpenter, teaching Icarus both martial prowess and carpentry. It was this great uncle who first told Icarus of the old Leonin gods, whom the Shadowfeng had long forsaken for darker magics. He told Icarus stories about the god's champions and artifacts. It was these tales that started Icarus on his goal to collect the lost artifacts of his people.
Icarus became a palidan of Aletha, the Leonin goddess of the hunt and creator of several ancient artifacts, and left home to venture into the shattered sea. While excecuting a prison break he met the other members of the notorious badger bois and together they stole a ship and formed their pirate gang. During his time of as a pirate he served as Bosun, Carpenter, and Captain of both the boarding party and the Baby Badger(a smaller ship than the Sea Badger used for boarding manuvers). During this time he chased rumors of the artifacts, aided the anti-Sumarrian resistance, and fought in the gladiator pits of Bradis, most often as a duo with H(also of the Badger Bois). During one of these matches he was kidnapped and made a prisoner of the Hellkites on Half-tall island. It was there that he met the woman who would become his first wife. Helen was a servant in the Hellkite castle who was kind to him during his imprisonment. When he broke free they both escaped to the Sea Badger and became engaged shortly after.
Less than a year later Icarus and Alerack, notorius Grand Admiral of the Badger Bois, co-wrote and starred in their famous rock opera "Outcasts, Freedom, and Old Beer", a touching story about a half-elf and leonin who meet on the high seas, both shunned by their cultures but find love together. The opera immediately became a huge success overnight and the next showing was viewed by leaders around the world who came to Bradis to view the Gladiator Games. Immediately after their theatrical success the Badger Bois entered into the Gladiator Games and ended up going on an undefeated run through the qualifying matches before winning the whole thing. Having conquered both the arts and combat, and having found one of the artifacts he was searching for Icarus knew that his time with the Badger Bois was coming to an end. But before the group went their seperate ways they cooperated with the resistance one last time and assassinated the Dragon Emperor of The Sumarrian Empire while he was in his vacation palace recovering from a cursed disease.
After much of Badger Boi leadership split off including Icarus, who found his way back to Solan, after making a stop in Gigantaros to retrieve another relic and make his crewmate Forks the Lizard King. There he served as a captain and enforcer for Boss Shadowfeng of the Triumvirate for a period of just under two years. Boss Shadowfeng had one of the artifacts that Icarus had been seeking and Icarus challenged him for it. Icarus could have killed Boss Shadowfeng but had grown to like him in his time of service, and so showed him mercy. Taking the Cloak of Shadowfeng and leaving Solan, heading back to the Pridelands. By this time Icarus had two brides Helen and Persephone, a leonin cleric he met in Bradis, but he would soon take on many more. First he went to the Shadowfeng Pride and killed his unlce in a death challenge, once he was their chief he called a meeting with the other chiefs. He showed them the holy leonin artifacts he had collected and proclaimed his plans to restore the Leonin to their former glory and take back the territory the humans had taken over the centuries. Of the three remaining prides Wildtooth submitted to his plans if he married the current chief's daughter. Whitemane who had held dominance in the Pridelands for years, and Braveheart who dispised Icarus' Shadowfeng lineage both resisted his power. Icarus then challenged each of them to a death challenge but instead of waiting their turn, both cheifs attacked him simultaneously. But Icarus had 4 legendary artifacts and had been hardened by his travels, he killed both of them in a 2v1 and had their pride's warriors swear to his cause. To bind them he took on a daughter of each chief as a wife to let their blood mix with his, additonaly he did the same with the leader of the Tabaxi who married him in exchange for continual rule of the tabaxi.

Family Ties
Breaking Leonin norms Icarus has chosen to have several wives instead of simply mating with different female leonin every few years. These permanent ties bind not just his wives to him but also him to their prides, showing that loyalty goes both ways. Icarus' lusts are known to be great and his wives have given him a bounty of children. Below is a list of his wives and children.
Helen. The first wife, a human who helped him escape Half-tall island and his Hellkite jailors.
- Helena Shadowfeng. Named for her mother she is Icarus' firstborn child and many suspect his favorite. She was sent to the Talon School.
- Likon Shadowfeng. Named for Icarus' father Likon is often considered Icarus' favorite son and spends nearly all of his time in Icarus' presence.
- Alerack Shadowfeng. Named for Icarus' former captain from the Badger Bois days.
- Cornelia Shadowfeng. Named for Corn, the druid of the Badger Bois.
Persephone Braveheart. The 2nd wife, a leonin cleric Icarus met in Bradis during his gladiator escapades.
- Selene Shadowfeng. Trained to be her father's assassin, Selene spent some of her youth outside the pridelands learing from H, her father's friend from the Badger Bois.
- Penelope Shadowfeng.
- Iris Shadowfeng.
Caliope Wildtooth. The 3rd wife, his political mariage to the Wildtooth Pride. Children of this union are given the Wildtooth surname and considered members of that pride.
- Zoe Wildtooth.
- Atemis Wildtooth. Twins with Diana.
- Diana Wildtooth. Twins with Artemis.
- Apollo Wildtooth. Currently beign groomed to takeover the Wildtooth Pride.
Amara Braveheart. The 4th wife, his political mariage to the Braveheart Pride. Children of this union are given the Braveheart surname and considered members of that pride.
- Lydia Braveheart.
- Hercules Braveheart. Currently being groomed to takeover the Braveheart Pride.
- Anastasia Braveheart.
Pandora Whitemane. The 5th wife, his political marriage to the Whitemane Pride. Children of this union are given the Whitemane surname and considered members of that pride.
- Achilles Whitemane. Already Achilles has garnered a reputation as a ruthless killer. Icarus sent him to Talon School to try and humanize him a bit. Achilles was meant to eventually lead the Whitemane Pride but he holds distain for the Whitemane traditions and prefers to go by Shadowfeng. The Whitemane pride doesn't see him as one of them but many of other prides think he would make a good choice of heir for Icarus.
- Nikolaos Whitemane. A cleric who stands in stark contrast with Achilles. Nikolaos has strong morals and is devoted to the Leonin gods.
- Adraste Whitemane.
Elena Shadowfeng. 6th wife, a leonin from the Shadowfeng Pride who impressed Icarus with her ferocity.
- Nyx Shadowfeng.
- Skia Shadowfeng.
- Sombra Shadowfeng.
Ophelia Darkshade. 7th wife, his political marriage to the Tabaxi but they actually met in Bradis. She continues to control the Tabaxi Jungle and rarely sees Icarus. Ophelia was assassinated using liquid demonfire for unknown reasons.
- Meelo Shadowfeng. Raised away from his father and siblings Meelo was brought up in Tabaxi monastic tradition. He is now in Talon School and is just now being brought into the Leonin fold.
- Cosmo Shadowfeng. Raised in the Tabaxi monastic tradition Cosmo doesn't really know his father or most of his siblings besides Meelo. While Meelo resembles his mom Cosmo more resembles his dad, he has a black mane and blue eyes. He is shorter and slighter than most Leonin but is definetally larger than most Tabaxi.
Antoinette Demisangue. 8th wife, a half elf Icarus met in Solan. She is gifted wizard who found herself attracted to Icarus' strength. Now she effectively serves as his chief mage and instructs her children in magic.

Religious Views
While Icarus reveres all of the old Leonin gods he actively worhips Aletha, the goddess of the hunt.
Wealth & Financial state
Icarus had acumulated a large amount of personal wealth from both his time as a pirate and serving the Triumvirate. Such that his wealth eclipsed the combined wealth of the Leonin prides he took control of. Icarus continues to be part owner of the Badger Bois and derives most of his current income from their dividends. Much of this wealth has now been spent on weapons and armor for his warriors and it is unkown how much he has left.
