The Badger Bois have a fleet of 7 warships and 8 merchant ships. They also have a secret island base known as the "Badger Den" where the crews families live, grow opium, and raise dairy cows.
History
The Badger Bois started with a group of unlikely friends staging a prison break on the island Norwatch. Liberating prisoners used by the Sumarrian Empire as coal miners. They stole a ship named the Sea Badger and the former prisoners made up their starting crew. The core officers were Alerack Selendus as captain, a half elf who was kicked out of the Elven Admiralty Academy; H as first mate, a trained assassin of the hero program turned traitor against the empire; Icarus Shadowfeng as bosun, a leonin paladin on a quest for ancient relics; Cornwallus as quartermaster/navigator, a herrengon druid of the stars; Tonzu Mechanist as artillery specialist, a gnome artificer from Glimburk; and an unknown 6th commonly refered to as Fish.
They quickly gained a reputation as pirates and friends of the resistance. Alerack was known for wearing as many as 8 swords at a time and Icarus was rumored to eat the faces of his victims. One of their common opening moves invovled having Tonzu snipe the captain from the crow's nest then negotiating surrender with the first mate. Tonzu used one of the first plasm rifles and many had no idea how or why their captain's head suddenly exploded. The first vessel added to the fleet was the Baby Badger, a smaller vessel used for boarding, captained by Icarus.
They became more involved in the resistance after Icarus and H were captured and tortured by the Hellkites. After rescuing Icarus and H, the Badger Bois took part in a major resistance opperation to sink a fleet of warships before they could be properly armed. But the Sumarrian Empire had been prepared and instead laid a trap for the resistance fleet. It was a bloody sea battle with no cear victor.
Shortly after the Badger Bois went to Bradis where they would write and produce the hit rock opera "Outcasts, Old Beer, and Freedom", gaining them international fame. Less than 3 days later they proceeded to win the Bradis Gladitorial Championship, earning them even more fame as well as the massive prize money. It is believed that this was the seed money used to substantially expand the Badger Bois fleet. But they weren't done pulling off impossible feats, for less than 2 weeks after winning the Gladitorial Championship they successfully assassinated the Dragon Emperor of The Sumarrian Empire in his vacation home while he was recovering from a resistance assassination plot.
After this last act of defiance the Badger Bois went through a period of reformation. H, Icarus, and Tonzu all departed from the group and previous dealings with Hansolan criminals lead them to move prodominantly to a drug based opperation. Growing opium and making chedda on their island base, then selling the drugs around the world. Though they still do some piracy most of their income is now from drug supply.
