The creation of the first five clans, the Forgebound, the Engineers Guild, the School of Mages, the Brewers of the Golden Hearth, and the Gunpowder Forgers.
The migration of the Dwari to discover new land with greater natural resources. On this journey the Dwari would discover the Isles of Glakrud and Tillanar.
The twin sons to the king are born!
The bulk of the engineering guild would rebel during this time because of Hendrin's wish to spread Dwari technology to humanity. Began when the human emissary brought back from the migration is killed by a riled mob led by Cong Lin.
Upon the engineer's guild entering open rebellion, king Hendrin would punish them by removing them from being an official clan, destroying their reputation. He also renamed the School of Mages to the School of Magic and Engineering so that upon the end of the rebellion, any surrendering engineers could continue their work under supervision of the extremely loyal mages guild.
Hendrin creates a new clan so that he can have an organized military to combat the rebellion with. Will later be commanded by Grolim, Hendrin's son.
Occurs on the final day of the rebellion, when Krarg the True leads a group of human and Dwari warriors into Cong-Lin's guildhall and kills him. Hendrin announces his passing of the crown onto his first son and Krarg proposes an official alliance of the Dwari and Humans as his first action as king.
The official signing of the first Human-Dwari alliance by High King Krarg and Lord Donovan of humanity.
With the rebellion over, and the previous main hold of the Dwari ravaged in the fighting, Krarg ordered the construction of a new hold that would use the heat from the volcano Kolvulanuk to power it's forges. This hold would simply be known as Kolvulanuk and would house the palace of the king, the hall of the clans, and as previously mentioned, the forges.
Upon the completion of the palace, Krarg would marry his lover whom he met in battle during the rebellion, Melad.
During the first season of ashfall without any significant eruptions, Krarg sends out a long prepared group of three to map out and discover new areas of the continent never seen since the Dwari Golden Age. They journey takes them in a loop up to the northern tip of the continent, then all the way south across the east coast, then back north to the hold. On this journey they discover the sulfuric vents that flood every tidefall, and the ruins of ancient dams built there by their predecessors.
Upon the continent being mapped, Dwari engineers begin to create plans to reconstruct the dams that once prevented the flooding for ancient Dwari civilization. These plans are eventually put forward by Krarg and would result in a seawall that protects the entire sulfuric flats and surrounding area from flooding during tidefall.
As his father did, Gruk would be married on the steps of the Kolvulanuk palace, to a women chosen by his father, Herad Warmblood, the leader of the Brewers of the Golden Hearth, to strengthen their loyalty to the crown.
High king Krarg the true passes the crown to his son Gruk on the 51st King's Day, setting an official standard that the crown will always be passed down on King's Day.
Just a year after becoming king, Gruk receives a letter from his sister telling of growing tensions in Tillanar and the increasingly loud cries to leave the Red Pact. In response to this, Gruk puts all of the resources of the Forgebound, Gunpowder Forgers, and Warriors of the Fallen Sun into producing a massive navy over a period of three years. During this time of massive military spending, Gruk would acquire the title of "the paranoid".
Once the separatists form a serious threat in Tillanar they create a war camp to the north an terrorize empire forces. Upon receiving another letter from his city regarding this, Gruk mobilizes almost the entirety of the Royal Dwari Navy to Tillanar to maintain the Red Pact.
Upon the war's fourth year, and the continued death of soldiers sent out to Tillanar, along with the harm to the populace done by focusing on such military spending only, a movement to end the war begins among the Dwari of Kolvulanuk. This movement is headed by Hera Warmblood, the leader of the Brewers of the Golden Hearth and wife of the high king. This would lead to Gruk immediately divorcing her, something that was rarely done in Dwari culture, and frowned upon by all. Kostrim would also choose to go with his mother, leaving his father alone without a loyal heir or wife.
After losing his wife, his son, and the support of the Dwari people, Gruk eventually chooses to step down, leaving the throne to his son, unofficially making him king.
With King's Day now come, Kostrim can officially be made king and have all the powers such a thing grants. Though his father had left the throne, he was still technically king until this day.
Now with the full support of the High King, a previously made treaty is allowed to be put out from the Tillanian hold of Deretulnk, which is quickly signed by the empire and separatist leadership. This treaty would ensure lasting peace and allow the separatists to be a separate entity from the Empire.
With the Kolkaklan seawall now complete, Kostrim orders construction of sulfur farms across the now (relatively) dry sulfuric flats to provide sulfur for the Gunpowder Forgers to increase production.
Thungri had been widely worshipped by almost all of Dwari society, but never truly supported by the crown. In wake of his father's unpopularity, Kostrim would create the Church of Thungri to please the people, giving it the same powers as one of the many clans, allowing it a place in the hall of the clans.
In his efforts to aid the people of Kolkakla and to fix the problems his father caused, Kostrim decided he needed to repair the economy, first by standardizing everything under a banking system. This new bank would also come with an updated currency, with multiple coins of different minerals being used instead of only the copper "ruk".
While High King Kostrim was incredibly generous and good to the people, his endless expenses to better the lives of the people where draining the coffers in Kolvulanuk, leading to the treasury running completely dry. Without any kind of financial advisor, Kostrim decides to create a new tax for clan leaders, where they must pay based on membership, resources produced, and space owned. This tax was incredibly unpopular among the clans, but was very popular among the people.
With the new tax bearing down on the clans, they decide to leave Kolvulanuk to construct new holds for their clan only, where they cannot be taxed by the king. Every clan except for the Forgebound and Warriors of the Fallen Sun would leave, with the Forgebound being too reliant on the forges of Kolvulanuk to establish a new hold and the Warriors being too fiercely loyal to leave the king.
By 1228, each clan had found a fitting location for it's hold outside of the king's jurisdiction and created plans for their construction. The Gunpowder Forgers planned to build a hold into the mountains just next to the sulfuric flats, so that they could harvest and create gunpowder with fierce efficiency. They would name this hold Gukpo-Klak or "hold of gunpowder". The School of Magic and Engineering planned to construct a hold high at the peak of Alzklag with a grand twisting star observatory emerging from it's peak. They would simply name this hold Alzklag. Finally, the Brewers of the Golden Hearth planned to create the hold of Hilg on the continents southern coast, in one of the only areas where grain imported from Tillanar could be grown on Kolkakla. Here they could maximize ale and food production without having to rely on imports from Tillanar.
In his first failure as king; allowing the clans to leave Kolvulanuk and establish new holds, Kostrim grows more and more hated by clan leadership, though he is in support of the clans leaving Kolvulanuk, for the sake of expanding the holds of the Dwari. While the people still like him for a time, a long period of Dwari leaving Kolvulanuk to live in these new holds causes discontent among residents of the hold. That along with rampant anti-king propaganda by the clans leads to the people of Kolvulanuk eventually wishing for the king's son to be made king in Kostrim's place. Now being disliked by the people, failing in his ultimate goal to make the people happy, Kostrim believes that his son can repair the relationship with the clans, and steps down for his son to take over.
In his early years as king, Irik tries to regain control over the clans, who have grown more and more independent from his father's control over the previous years. He offers each clan a place in the Four-Hold Pact, uniting Kolvulanuk, Gukpo-Klak, Hilg, and Alzklag under his leadership. The clans would obviously not agree to this, and so Irik decided, since he has full control over the Dwari military, to threaten the clans into falling under his jurisdiction, rather than giving up power to convince them. Every clan agrees to join the four-hold pact except for the Gunpowder Forgers, who believe they have a chance to fight off the warriors and gain full independence from the crown.
The Gunpowder Forgers enter open rebellion against the king, and put up an incredibly good fight. The area surrounding Gukpo-Klak in quickly fortified, allowing the Forgers to hold out long enough to starve the King's forces of ammunition, as without them to provide new ammo and gunpowder, the Warriors of the Fallen Sun had no way of getting ammo. So, a long and bloody siege would ensue, with the goal being to starve out the Forgers, bringing them into submission. However, the Gunpowder Forgers had planned for this, and had already built basic infrastructure for necessary resources within Gukpo-Klak, so that the Forgers wouldn't have to rely on any other hold for necessities. This siege ended up being unsuccessful, and after simply ignoring the issue for years, the then leader of the School of Magic and Engineering would propose opening sections of the dams, flooding Gukpo-Klak, and winning the war. Irik knew of the lives that would be lost in the flooding, but decided it was the best way to end the war and so he proceeded with the plan.
On this day, the Kolkaklan Seawall would begin to open it's latches and reflood the Sulfur Flats. The flood would quickly overtake Gukpo-Klak and all except for the important few would die, with said important people escaping through tunnels constructed specifically for this purpose.
In the wake of the Gunpowder rebellion, High King Irik decides that he needs to maintain his control over the clans through means other than threats. The rebellion made it apparent that a clan can rebel not be immediately crushed, after all, the rebellion was really a loss for both sides, not just the Gunpowder Forgers. Irik believes that the clans will see this and believe that if they all rebel simultaneously, that they have a chance of winning. In order to prevent further fighting with the clans, Irik decides to submit even his own power in the creation of a new council of clan personnel meant to be a counterbalance to the power of the king. Hopefully, Irik believed, this council would allow the kings to more easily manage and discuss legislature with the clans, while also allowing the clans to keep the High King from running rampant with power.
