There are whispers that come from the north about a mythical folk that silently patrols the forests, leaving only large footprints where ever they go. There is currently debate on whether or not this folk actually exists, and if it does is it a descendant of the 'Ancient Ones'? or is it a BeastFolk?
Many mispronounce the name of this race and call them Sasquatch, while others call them Bigfoot, Skunk Apes, or Wild Men.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Sa'Qua'Ch resemble a bipedal humanoid covered in shaggy fur. This tall, muscular folk has long arms and relatively large feet.

Biological Traits

Magic There has been debate if the Sa'Qua'Ch are capable of using magic.

Movement Despite having an ape-like gait, they are said to be able to easily move through the underbrush.
Scent Those that claim to have encountered one often claim that the Sa'Qua'Ch have a powerful musky odor.

Ecology and Habitats

Sightings of this folk have only been reported deep within the old forests in the northern regions of Tamerea.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They are believed to have a diet that is mostly plant based, though there have been reports of them eating meat. There is no current evidence to suggest that this folk practices agriculture. Instead its believed that they forage for all of their food.

It is believed that they live in small family groups of around 7 individuals.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

Much of their language is said to consist of vocalizations such as howls, and 'knocking'. Long distance communication involves making a loud 'Whoo-Whoo Whoop call.

Wears none to minimal clothing.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

Battle Sa'Qua'Ch will do everything that they can to avoid confrontations with other humanoids, but if forced to, will defend themselves. First they will try to drive away a threat, often by throwing rocks. If that doesn't work and the threat continues to get closer they will get physical.
Death Kin bury their dead.

History

Little does the rest of the folks know, the Sa'Qua'ch are A.O.'s that sought to live with one in nature, rather than dominate nature. To do this, they used magic to change their form.
