Due to the large amounts of gems that the DeepGleam Mines produces they are constantly trying to develop new products to sell, especially to the rich. When Madame DeepGleam overheard a noble complaining about her current prosthetic, she had a prototype made from a gem that she knew the noble loved, and gave it as a gift. The noble loved it, and it wasn't long until word spread, and requests for more personalized prosthetics came in. With a single gift, Madame Deepgleam found a specialized, but lucrative market niche that she was able to quickly dominate.
