Orc Battle Prosthetics

It's not uncommon for an Orc to lose an arm, whether it's chopped in battle or bitten off by a great beast. They don't let this slow them down however. Many of these orcs will have several prosthetics made, typical one for day to day life, and one for battle. The day to day prosthetics are built to complete tasks such as holding tools and gripping items, while the battle prosthetics are built exactly for that, battle. They can end in just about any kind of weapon, including swords, axes, hammers, maces, etc. Each prosthetic is custom made for the individual, and it's design depends on where they lost their original limb, what tasks need to be accomplished using it, and the individual's preferred weapon. The Orc's Battle Prosthetics are capable of causing a lot of damage, and individuals can become quite efficient in using them over time.

Utility

They are primarily used in battle.

Manufacturing

Typically a member of the tribe, usually the blacksmith, will build the prosthetic for the individual once their wounds have healed. Orcs who are out on their own and don't have a tribe typically build one for themselves, or commission a blacksmith to make one for them.
Access & Availability
While most races have their own versions of prosthetics, Orc battle prosthetics are mainly used by Orcs. Half Orcs are also common users of Orc battle prosthetics, especially those that were born into an Orc clan.
Complexity
The prosthetic typically ends in some kind of weapon that is usually made of iron, steel, or bone. This weapon then has a metal 'cup' on the other end that is lined with leathers and furs so the arm stump doesn't get irritated when being worn. The 'cup' is then secured to the arm stump using leather straps. Many individuals will decorate their prosthetics with paint, small bones, and pretty stones.
