Hovering Hummingbird

The Hovering Hummingbird is a inn found in one of the Wood Elves canopy city. This particular city often receives a lot of visitors, from canopy runners from the other Wood Elf cities to visitors from the other races. As a result there is a need for temporary housing, and the Hovering Hummingbird is ready to fulfill that need.   The Hovering Hummingbird's logo is that of a brightly colored hummingbird in flight.

Purpose / Function

The Hovering Hummingbird provides sleeping hammocks and platforms to visitors of the city. They are also well known for their special nectar-based drinks.

Alterations

The inn has been expanded several times to be able to keep up with the demand for temporary sleeping areas as more and more visitors visited the city.

Architecture

Much of the inn's flooring is made out of netting, which can be difficult to traverse for those that are unaccustomed. Each rent-able room has 1-2 hammocks for sleeping, and some some with a solid platform for those that don't want to sleep in a hammock.

History

Originally the Hovering Hummingbird was intended a place for canopy runners to rest for the night before heading off to the next town to make deliveries. As a result it was a very small inn, for canopy runners were relatively uncommon. When the Wood Elves began to interact with the other folk there became a need to house visitors, and the Hovering Hummingbird jumped at the opportunity. They expanded their facilities to support the influx of visitors.

Tourism

The hotel has become quite popular with tourists, both for giving them a taste of Wood Elf life, and for their nectar drinks. It is also located towards the center of the town, making it easier for visitors to reach whatever part of town they want to visit.
