Public Agenda
The Guild exists to promote legislation in favor of the use of Domestic Drakes and arrange employment for Drake Riders and their drakes. They also promote responsible breeding and the development of new breeds.
Assets
The guild's biggest asset is the Domesticated Drakes themselves. While they hold immense influence over everything involving these creatures, the guild itself owns and manages it's own stock of Drakes for guild use.
History
The Guild was created shortly after the founding families of Drakeden stole Domesticated Drakes and the secrets of their care from the 'Grass Stalkers', though they claim it was the other way around. The founding families saw immense potential in the use of Domesticated Drakes and wasted no time trying to implement them into society and develop new breeds for other uses. As a result 'Grass Stalkers' despise both Drakeden and the Drake Riders Guild, and many view both as monstrous for both their past and present actions towards them and their drakes.
There have been several attempts by the 'Tamers Guild' to absorb the Drake Riders Guild, claiming that due to animal handling being their focus, they should in charge of Domesticated Drakes. The Drake Riders Guild has strongly opposed this, claiming that since they have existed long before Tamers Guild they alone should hold authority over the drakes. There have been rumors of the Drake Riders Guild employing assassins to quietly deal with high profile supporters of the merger, but they adamantly deny this.
