The origins of Doppelgangers is relatively unknown, though a popular theory suggests that they may be aliens.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Dopplegangers are a humanoid that can greatly change their physical appearance to match any bipedal folk.
In it's "natural" form it has clear, smooth skin, no nose, and is completely hairless.

Biological Traits

Mimicry Capable of mimicking the appearance and voice of another individual perfectly. However they must mimic a real individual, for they can't create unique appearances and voices.

Social Structure

There are no known doppelganger societies, instead they will integrate themselves into other sentient folk communities, and rarely interact with other doppelgangers. There are few folk that a doppelganger can't imitate so their societies will rarely have doppelgangers.
Once they have integrated themselves into a new community they are often known to manipulate people to entire societies for their own benefit.
