Distribution
Trade & Market
Smaller statues are popular among the rich, and some of the most common ones are simply smooth balls or eggs. However this has caused some problems with adventurer's finding Regal Dragon eggs in the dragon's hoard of treasure (which resemble calacatta gold marble), take them thinking they are just valuable polished rocks, and then find themselves being chased down by enraged dragons. More than one small village has been burned down by dragons going after the unknowing egg thieves. This has resulted in calacatta gold marble being highly regulated to try and avoid dragon attacks. Of course some rich individuals have decided to buy multiple calacatta gold marble eggs, and arrange them in a nest of gold coins and jewels as a centerpiece in their home as a way of showing off how rich they are, and to suggest that if someone was to steal their riches they would chase the thief down to the ends of the world and leave a path of destruction in their wake.
Law & Regulation
The trade of calacatta gold marble is regulated due to it's rarity, desirability, and resemblance to Regal Dragon Eggs when sculpted into and egg shape. Any pieces that are sculpted and polished to resemble an egg must have the artist's initials carved into the bottom and come with paperwork to verify that it is marble and not a dragon egg.
