'Troll Killer Orcs'
Dura Mountains' year round. The tops of these mountains are often battered by snow storms, and can get so cold that one's flesh freezes within minutes of being exposed to the cold air. They are considered inhospitable by most folk, and even the orcs that live at the foot of the mountains believe them to be crazy to live up there. However the 'T.K.O.'s' have managed to thrive up in these mountains.
The 'T.K.O.'s' are the first line of defense against a Troll invasion. They despise Trolls, and will kill any that manage to make it over the mountains on sight. When asked, they claim that this side of the mountain is their territory, while the other side of the mountains belong to the trolls, and any found on there side was trespassing, and a threat to the orc's and their prey. As a result they refuse to travel over to the other side of the mountain top. Some theorize that the 'T.K.O.'s' may have some troll blood in them, for they tend to be bigger than their cousins at the base of the mountain range.
While most orcs migrate up and down the mountains as the season's pass, the 'Troll Killer Orcs' stay high up in the Culture
Common Dress code
The 'T.K.O's' tend to dress in thick animal skins to insulate themselves from the colder temperatures up in the mountains. During periods of extreme cold, they will cover their skin in animal fat, wrap themselves, and then put on their thickest layers of clothing.
Art & Architecture
During the spring and summer they will live in dwellings made of animal hide and bone, due to the lack of trees so high up. In the fall they will return to their winter caves in order to prepare them for winter, and will stock them with as much food, fat, hides, and supplies as possible
Coming of Age Rites
Young orcs will spend three days and three nights on lookout duty.
