'Pleasure Guild'
The only one of it's kind, the 'Pleasure Guild's' main focus is regulating the pleasure industry within the 'City of Pleasure'.
Public Agenda
The guild's main focus is making sure the brothels follow the rules and don't use slaves to satisfy their clients. They also regulate the production and sale of items relating to the industry.
History
The guild was established shortly after the city started building it's first brothels. The Concubi knew they needed a way to express their desires, and had to do so in a way that wouldn't get themselves in major trouble with neighboring cities and kingdoms. To do so they established the guild to come up with regulations and enforce those regulations.
At first people pushed back hard against the idea of brothels being so openly advertised and having their guild, but the concubi were smart, and kept detailed records of who was visiting of their brothels, and used them to silence their opposition.
As time went on and the city's reputation grew, more brothels were built, more individuals moved in or visited, and additional shops popped up selling related items. As a result the guild grew as well, needing extra employees to properly enforce the rules.
Demography and Population
Much of the guild is run by concubi, though representatives from other folk are also present.
Territories
The Guild operates almost entirely within the 'City of Pleasure', and has their hands full despite that.
Foreign Relations
Many other guilds and organizations aren't too fond of the 'Pleasure Guild' due to the activities they encourage, however few actively try to get it disbanded. This is due to 'Pleasure Guild' heavily regulating the pleasure industry by enforcing the no slave rules. That and the guild maintains records of clients, such as who visits which brothels and what 'experiences' they request. Few can go against the guild without their records being mysteriously discovered by the public and their reputation being ruined.
