'Bee-Folk'
Also known as Thriae, Bombus, or Bombidae?
Basic Information
Anatomy
The vast majority of 'bee-folk' are female.
Queen
The largest of all the 'bee-folk', she is considered beautiful and graceful. Her lower body is very bee-like, and she has antennae and bee-like wings.
Seer
Lithe and slender they appear like a bee/human hybrid.
Soldiers
Heavier than the seers, they have an upper body that looks humanoid and a lower body that is bee-like.

Capable of using magic.
Stinger
Almost all 'Bee Folk' have a stinger on their abdomen that allows them to sting threats. The only exception to this is the men, who completely lack a stinger.
Genetics and Reproduction
Within a hive, only the queens can lay eggs, for all other women in the hive are infertile. As a result linage is only kept track of through the queens. Throughout her life the queen will lay 400-500 eggs within golden cells. Most of the larvae that hatch from these eggs will be fed honey, however those that have been designated as future queens will be fed royal honey.
Young queens have one of two options available to them once they grow up, she can either fight her mother to the death so she can take over the hive, or she can leave and establish her own hive.

Ecology and Habitats
Found in many different kinds of habitats, the 'bee folk' create massive hives to live in that they will protect with their lives. These hives are a labyrinthine, with the important chambers located deep within.
Dietary Needs and Habits
'Bee-folk' produce various kinds of honey to eat. One special kind of honey called Royal Honey is reserved for the queen, her seers, and her princesses. While the seers are allowed to eat royal honey in order to see prophecies, soldiers are forbidden to eat this specieal honey. It is difficult to produce so supply is often limited, and soldiers can easily become addicted.

Social Structure
'Bee-folk' have a rather similar social structure to 'Ant Folk', and live in colonies known as hives.
Queen
The mother to every individual, the queen is considered the most important member of the hive. Typically their is only one queen per hive, however some have been know to have up to three.
Seer
The wise advisors to the queen, seers will eat royal jelly in order to see prophecies. Typically there is no more than three seers per queen.
Soldiers
The most numerous of all the 'Bee-folk', the soldier play a vital role in guarding the hive and the surrounding areas. Without them the hive would be quickly ransacked be all sorts of creatures.
Males/Drones
While queens are not emotionally attached to their drones, the male 'bee-folk' are still highly sought after. Without them the queens would be unable to create the next generation of 'bee-folk'. As a result the drones typically live the life of luxury, kept safe in small chambers located close to the queen's chambers. Once they grow too old to perform their duties however, they are euthanized by the hive to preserve precious resources.

A relatively secretive and spiritual folk, they often use divination and prophecies to guide their hive.
Newer generations are often paired up with older mentors to learn skills needed for specialized jobs.

Dancing plays a huge role in communicate, hive identity, and more.
