Where to Go
As far as Andalusada is concerned, a guided tour of Europe starts on the Iberian Peninsula, where the Point of Divergence happened. It contains two countries:- Portugal: The oldest and weakest of the global Christian empires. In every state of the world bar two, Lisbon is the prime meridian.
- The Crown of All Spains: A crisis waiting to happen.
- On the continental side, France (which ITTL includes all of Belgium and whose northern border closely follows the Rhine River).
- On the far side of the Manche, the British Isles are home to both England and Scotland.
- Bohemia: One of the historic Electors of the Holy Roman Empire; doing pretty well in the general absence of Austria.
- Denmark: Firmly in the Saxon sphere of influence after the Thousand Days.
- Grand Duchy of Pressburg: Or Poszony, or Presporok.
- Holy, Free, and Hanseatic Lümborg: Probably the proudest of the old Hanseatic city-states.
- The Electorate of Saxony: A fairly small state (albeit encompassing all of Thuringia, some of Hesse, and a chunk of Silesia), powerful out of all proportion to its size by virtue of its Reichsvikariat.
- Switzerland: The Holy Roman Empire collapsed into irrelevance before it was worth several cantons' time to secede from it.
- Sweden: Children in other parts of the world are told to eat their vegetables and be grateful, because there are people starving in Sweden. It's largely true. By the time the Thousand Days was over, Sweden had been reduced to a preindustrial society and may never recover.
- Norway: The official Best Scandinavia. It's still a space-filling empire, though.
- Poland: An enormous,
- Hungary:
- Great Russia:
- The Kingdom of Italy, a one-time Anglo-Scottish ally. The hated Reggenza government (whose dictator has never seen in public without his jackboots, epaulettes, and complete collection of medals) has managed to unite Italy in hating it, but will survive until Italy either agrees to its replacement or collapses in civil war.
- The Papal States, or at least the ones that haven't been signed away to Italy in 121-year leases.

Ireland: What exactly is Ireland's relationship to England-Scotland? Clearly it's not an equal partner, or the Imperial Union would be a Triple Monarchy.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
