Psychics
Also called Empaths, these are people that have influence over the thoughts and feelings of those around them.
Empaths are born, more than made, but there are those that develop powers after a lot of practice and training. The ability is genetic, and it's due to a corruption from either Faerie magic or Psionic Magic in one's genetic line. Just something gets amplified that allows their mind to work "bigger" than others' and therefore influence. Similar to faerie domains.
Much like elemental or Warping sorcerers, psychics and empaths develop their powers around pubescence and frequently lose control over them before they reach maturity. Unlike the other magicians, psychics are practically doomed to have either no support system whatsoever, or an overbearing one.
Most are outed by attacks of Lurgee, a condition that leaves one mentally drained after having been affected by a psychic. As they can't actually stop this from happening, they often feel as though the populace is right in deeming them a threat and casting them out. This usually starts a cycle of travel until they get control of their powers or figure out how to enthrall.
The powers usually start out as a hyperawareness of everyone else's emotions, and this is usually overwhelming. Reclusive behavior is a "sign" of a psychic, and introverts and weirdos can get caught up in a sweep for one.
