Year 5 Midterms

Exam time, its so different from my life at the kingdom, I was given so much more freedom there, no formal tests or anything, but, I've been doing well, so here we go again!   Numerology: Antioch helped me so much! I was pretty shaky going into this one but, things worked out! (1/2 successes)   Spell Matrices: Between Antioch and my own innate spell skills, this test was easy! I showed Gulm some of my divine matrices I use for my more clerical spells even! I wonder what his thoughts are. (2/2 successes with nat 20)

Leaving the cove (summary of past years)

As excited as I am about the ring, and the proposed living arrangements, walking out of the Cove for the last time still has a pang of sadness. Sure there weren't as many chances to get to know other people with adjusting to the academy, but, I will always remember getting to spend time in and around the water of the Cove.   First year was in some ways the hardest, going from the slower paced and religious focused learning of the priests, to the slightly faster paced, and magic focused learning of the academy. Getting my mind in gear for the faster paced learning took a fair bit of the first year, and it certainly was a ramp to get there. The end of year project was thankfully somewhat easy, as I continued to practice the sewing that mother taught me.   The second year was decidedly easier, I was able to take an elective in spiritualism, which worked well for me, I learned more about other religions of the lands, and was able to share about my own experiences with the priests of Leveran! I then did a write up on one of the other religions that we learned about, and presented it to the teachers! It was very fulfilling to learn about how other people interact with their titans and their practices.   Third year things god really interesting! More and more people were around to talk with, and I learned about runes! I did another presentation, on the runes used by one religion, why they held significance, where the power came from, I really enjoyed that year, and I did the best I had done of any year on that project.   I hope the years to come are as exciting, or even more!

New roommate in the ring!

Moving to the ring for the remaining years is very exciting! New facilities, a new house to stay in, and its so big! There's even a lake surrounding it, that I'm really hoping I can swim in, I'll have to ask one of the caretakers or something if that's allowed. I have ended up rooming with a beastfolk named Threnody Kilgore, who is lovely. She is very easygoing, and lovely to talk to! Learning about her past and what has lead to her joining the academy has been very interesting, and I hope that I can continue to learn about all the members of the house, there's so many! Kilgore snores a bit, but that's not an issue, especially when she makes such amazing food. I never understood most peoples obsession with eating, aside from like, needing it to live, but with her food, I get it. The flavours are amazing, and the cooking is so well done. Its also super nice of her to have breakfast for me every morning, which just starts the day off right! This year looks to be even better than the previous!

Bringing water to life

So end of year project year 4 was very fun! I made a little living blob of water! Studying the water was super easy, the matrix was very easy to study, to see where life could be applied into the inherent elemental magic flowing through the water. And then brushing up on Leverans priest's teachings, how I was bright to life myself, all of those rituals and religious practices. Bringing the orb to life was hard initially, the poor thing was in a state of distress, and I had to seek out help. Cuan helped me, but I think it was much faster than he was expecting, I had forgotten to use runes in the life imbuing process, and being reminded of that reminded me to actually make use of them! When I used the runes in a magic circle, it helped a lot! The little guy came to life, and is super cute, I named him Doudrop, and I am keeping him!

Casting Magic

Casting magic, feels wonderful! It's like, I can feel the divine gift that Leveran gave me, this life when this body has already experienced death, and I can use it to help others! Its so fulfilling, water has been so, important in my life, its when I feel closest to Leveran, and when I channel it, I can feel that feeling of being close to Leveran, of honouring this gift that I have. Water is so important to life, to change, to moving forward, and when I channel it, I feel that ability to do things, that love the titan has for me and the love that mother has for me.   Healing and radiant magic, actually feel the same when I channel them! They both feel like I reach into the divine soul Leveran blessed me with, feel the life giving energy surging within. It feels like there's, a glow sitting inside me. And both magics start as, bringing some of that glow to the surface, bringing that wonderful energy to help others. They make me feel amazing, empowered, that I can do things, I do have the power, and I want to use it to make other lives wonderful, just like the second chance each part of my body is getting.
