THE DESIGN IS INEXORABLE.From the heart of a vast, apocalyptic engine of calculation rises the mighty form of ANACHRONOUS, The Machine Prince of Fiends. When the Infernals first emerged from the Hungry Dark to bend the light of Anacra to their own will, Anachronous was not found among their number. It was only after the Firmament sealed around the invading fiends that the Machine Prince arose. Anachronous' mind is filled with calculations, twisting stars, iron-clad absolutes and malleable variables. Anachronous does not believe in free will. According to the Machine Prince, all decisions can be predicted with sufficient information. Anachronous builds constructs and sets them on strange missions, to obtain additional information or to adjust variables so the math better fits its models. According to Anachronous' vast design, the eternal cycle--Birth, Life, Death & Renewal--is not sustainable in the face of Entropy. This conclusion leads Anachronous to meddle in the affairs of mortals and powers alike: not even Anachronous' fellow infernals understand the Eschaton Clock's actions or motivations. Only one thing is certain: If Anachronous is to be believed, the exact date and time of the End of All things is certain. The Cycle will come to an end. The Song will cease. The Design is Inexorable.
