Airman Asiriel (a.k.a. Siri)
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Asiriel usually presents as Caucasian with dark brown hair kept in a military cut. His eyes are dark brown, almost black. Unlike many of the angels, he prefers a huskier physical presentation with more obvious body hair and he often wears a groomed beard. After his fall, Asiriel’s wings stain dark brown with white patches near the shoulders like a mockingbird.
- What do they smell like? -- Asiriel likes things that smell good. He experiments with scents, lotions, beard oil, soaps, shampoos, etc so there’s always a slightly different combination floating around him. His favorite is a sandalwood and thyme perfume oil he found in the 1990s. He actually hoarded it against its being discontinued, so there are eight or nine bottles still in his footlocker.

- How would they cope with a sudden academic requirement? -- Asiriel thinks well on his feet, but translating that to paper is extremely difficult for him. His strengths are practical application and being tested on his knowledge would make him nervous and cause him to second-guess himself a lot.
Intellectual Characteristics
- How present and aware are they? -- Asiriel is usually pretty aware of his surroundings, but he does tend to wander and when he’s wandering, his thoughts wander, too. It results in him finding some of the stranger parts of various urban areas and having no idea how he got there.
- How impulsive are they? -- It depends on the circumstances. Asiriel is fond of doing surprising things for other people, but he’s also known to randomly blow off responsibility to do something fun. The worst situation he got himself into like that was when he convinced Lunariel to join him in following and dive-bombing a privateer’s ship in the 1800s.
- How do they sabotage themselves? -- Asiriel is a talker and will often babble his way into uncomfortable situations or overwhelm someone by just talking too much. He gets excited and doesn’t always realize he’s lost his audience until someone tells him to stop.
- How conscious are they of their physical needs? -- Usually pretty conscious. Asiriel actually notices the physical needs of others faster than his own, but his approach to getting others to take care of themselves is to take care of himself and offer to share with them.
Morality & Philosophy
- What are their moral priorities? -- Asiriel believes strongly in equitable good: doing the best thing for as many people as possible with the least lost of life or suffering. He is more than willing to sacrifice himself in exchange for any number of other people, human, nefilim or angels but is very reluctant to allow anyone else to make the same sacrifice.
- How comfortable are they with being petty or cruel? -- Cruelty is not in Asiriel’s nature and seeing another creature in pain breaks his heart. While he is a soldier by training, he is a social creature by nature and would prefer to defend people from cruelty than cause pain himself. His tolerance for pettiness in others is also very low and he’s been known to take others to task for petty cruelty.
- Under what circumstances would they appear naked in public? -- It would take an accident for Asiriel to appear naked. He’s very polite and careful about the comfort of others, so being naked would be more distressing in regards to others’ reactions than his own personal modesty.

Likes & Dislikes
- What are their food preferences? -- Asiriel likes peanuts, especially the unsalted, unshelled kind. In the first years after the invasion, Lunariel made a point of giving Asiriel a pound of in-the-shell peanuts for Christmas. It was a big deal and usually results in the two of them sitting on the roof of the barracks, eating peanuts and throwing the shells at unsuspecting angels.
- What irrationally irritates them? -- anything worn around the neck. Personally, he hates the feeling of necklaces, scarves, etc and seeing them being worn by other people makes him uncomfortable. He insists neck fashion is just giving the enemy easier ways to strangle them.
- What style music do they prefer? -- Asiriel likes string quartets and piano arrangements, usually instrumental and originating between 1800 and 2000. When he listens to singing, he prefers female voices accompanied by piano.

Asiriel is an exceptional mimic and enjoys doing impressions and impersonations of people, especially for comedic effect.
Hygiene
- How involved is their hygiene? -- Asiriel enjoys the ritual involved in shaping and combing his beard and wings, so does tend to spend a good deal of time working on both. His hair occasionally gets forgotten, but that’s part of why he keeps it short. He keeps himself clean and neat generally, but really gets lost in combing his wings.

- How is their relationship with their parents? -- Asiriel is deeply loyal to Heaven and respectful of God as his father. He prefers to keep an almost simplistic view of God’s motives and assumes the best in most situations. To be abandoned by his father is truly shattering for Asiriel.

Social Aptitude
- How do they respond to those in need? -- Selflessly. Asiriel eagerly helps anyone who needs it regardless of what he might be doing or how much of an annoyance it is the those around him. He’s most likely to offer physical assistance carrying groceries or heavy objects, accompanying women who are afraid to walk alone at night, or acting as a crossing guard. On the few times he’s used public transportation (which is something to see, given the wings), he also makes sure seats are distributed according to who most needs a seat and will rearrange already seated people based on need.
- How good are they with children and/or animals? -- Kids love Asiriel and the feeling is mutual. He’s often assigned to school visits for this reason and will spend hours playing with kids, talking with them, telling stories or listening to them. Most animals also respond well to him, but he’s less enthusiastic about things that can’t talk to the point of preferring the company of parrots to dogs or cats.
- How do they concern or terrify people who do not know them? -- Most people who first meet Asiriel think he’s terrifying: massive, burly, muscular and gruff in appearance. It doesn’t last beyond the first exchange of words, though.
