Zaerus is a historically xenophobic human nation. Past conflicts with Bante and Lemor have left them distrustful, but that is slowly changing with the most recent generation being much more open to interacting. Because of these past conflicts however, the nation maintains a strong martial presence, with numerous forts along their borders, and all citizens required to be trained for future conscription.
