Until recently, the Peninsula was isolated from the rest of the world by a magical veil which drained the life of anything and anyone that touched it. Confict among the peninsular nations was frequent and violent as they wrestled over the limited resources. Since the fall of the Veil, the kingdoms have begun reconnecting with the larger continent, slowly improving the lives of the citizens as food and other resources become more accessible.
