An Open Door

Emotions on the peninsula are running high.
Historic tensions between the elven nation of Lemor and the human nation of Zaerus are at an all-time low with the upcoming marriage between the ruling families. The union seeks to unite two kingdoms, establishing a dominant force along the southern coast. Whispers of dissatisfaction with the marriage have begun to creep across the land however, threatening the promised stability.
To the south trade through the Strait of Babel has been hampered byattacks by the Navy of Azer, looking to extend their control. This has caused problems for the artisan nation of Bante, forcing them to choose between the longer travel through Zaerus, or hazard a journey across (or under) the Mountains of Adir.
To the north of Lemor, the caravans traveling the trade roads through the expansive wilds have slowed to a trickle, and the unexplored forests to the north of Bante are starting to encroach on the borderlands.

The adventure begins in Bonafair the Capitol City of Zaerus at the end of the second tenday of Ches. The city is bustling in anticipation of the wedding of Princess Trislee Kendron of Lemor and Crown Prince Colran Zaerus.
