Mana Threads

The Weave is created from different mana threads. The 8 base threads are the 4 elements (Water, Air, Fire, and Earth), Positive and Negative, and Spiritual and Mental. When these threads meet they can create different more complex threads.

Ex.) Fire and Earth threads combined can make Magma threads.

These threads can be used by practitioners of magic to create or use spells.

These threads can be infused into beings to create magical effects, like a Basilisks petrifying gaze. And when a great quantity of these threads are in the same location they can effect the landscape, like creating Mana Gems.

They also can be infused into the soul and passed on genetically. Hence why some races have innate magic or affinities.
