The Cararin Elves

The Cararin Elves are a tribe of elves that are native to the jungles of Edrith. They are adept survivors and fierce warriors. Faced with the deadly creatures of the jungle from birth every elf is trained in the ways of stealth, violence, and survival. Beneath their rough exterior however, lies a great degree of refinement. Though the outside world may consider them savages, looking beneath reveals they are on par or even above the rest of the world. Talented children are selected at birth to be sent to the Arborian Circle, a circle of druids the specializes in the manipulation of trees, to be trained as a Nimlohael (Nim-low-heal), or tree maker. These Nimlohaels are responsible for shaping the trees into the shapes the allow elves to inhabit them. Due to their vital nature within in Cararain society they place very high on the social hierarchy

Culture

The Cararin elves have a high respect for nature placing it above almost everything else. They live in trees that have been magically contronted to provide living areas. They are very carful to produce as little waste as possible and leave as small as an environmental impact as possible. This means that swords, maces, and other metal weapons are rare among their lands, as those require digging into the earth. They are particularly fond of magic and bows. Each family has a family tree which inhabited by the entire family. It is not uncommon to see upwards of 10 people all living in the same tree. If a family member is not living in their family tree, for reasons besides marriage, that means that they have done something unforgivable and have been expelled.

Assets

The elves hold very little in terms of material items, they have no little money, few fortresses and few precious metal and gems. Perhaps their most valuable asset is the The Great Forest in which they live.

From the Forest, for the Forest

You call us savages because we do not have metals, fortress and weapons of war. Yet, I ask you this. How many of your friends and family have you lost to war and how many have I?
