The Acheria Republic
The Arceria Republic is a collection of city states to the west of the The Droven Empire. The Saimen Peaks act as a natural border between the republic and The Droven Empire. The Droven Empire and the republic are co-dependent on each other. The republic produces a surplus of food due to it beign suitiaion in one large river valley and trades with The Droven Empire in exchange for their rich supplies of metal. Highly peaceful due to their isolation from the rest of the world, they prosper off of trade and development of new technologies.
Structure
The Archeria Republic is a largely centralized government due to its smaller size and expansive roads. However, local leaders do have a few powers but these are mostly limited to collecting taxes, handling local threats, and raising a small garrison to protect the region.
The leader of the republic is called the Proslect (Praw-lect), he can make finally decision that are unresolved between the three houses
The next level of government are the three houses, The House of Merchants, The House of Inventors, and the House of Lords
The House of Merchants is comprised of mainly lower members of society who make a living peddling goods, they handle matters related to trade.
The House of Inventors is made up of the tinkers and thinkers of the republic, they decide decisions related to new and existing technology.
The House of Lords is made up of the nobles of the land, and they handle political affairs.
Local provinces are governed by a local baron who report to the regional lord.

History
The Archeria Republic was founded in the year 2105 by a group of exiles who had been exiled for opposing the leader ship from the Maldir Sovereignty. They encountered a new race of people, the Gnomes,who had a talent for invention and innovation. The dwarves, with their expectational ability for mining and trade, provided materials for the gnomes to work with and together they built one of the most prosperous nations known to man.
