Amedim Nashima Tradition / Ritual in Amnar | World Anvil

Amedim Nashima

The Amedim Nashima is a ritual that confers the title of Nashima on a member of the Lesser Servants who has shown exceptional leadership, or has produced a particularly beneficial change upon the foundations of Amnari society. Thus far, this title has only been conferred twice, and therefore the ritual is incredibly rare. The ritual has many similarities with those performed by the Samedim Ishcavei to confer the status of trainee or student upon a child or teenager, and thus has attached to it the sense that it is not so much a recognition of achievement or attainment, but one of training to a level beyond that normally required of an Ishcai-Nashim.

History

The ritual was first performed in 3572 AA/SA, conferring the title of Nashima on the Senior Servant of the Guardian Defender, Tishca. This was in recognition of her work managing several years of exceptionally unstable activity at the Gaps at Amin Duum, Rad Ruins, and Nas Trinitar. She had repeatedly gone above and beyond even the demanding requirements of the Servants' Second Indenture, in order to prevent a permanent leach of activity into the Human world. On several occasions, she had put her own life at immediate risk for the sake of either the other Warriors and Watchers with her, or the entire city state where she was working. In addition to this, she had prevented a new Gap opening up outside any Amnari Bubble, thus providing protection to the non-allied tribes and peoples in that area.

Participants

Although the body of the ritual is based on the rituals of the Samedim Ishcavei, it is conducted by the Guardian Defender and the First Guardian of All Amnar. The ritual is attended by all Guardians and all Lesser Servants in two parts. The first part is conducted in the Guardian Defender's own Private Chambers, a private conference between the Guardian and Servant, with the other Servant attending. The second part of the ritual takes place between Temple Red and Temple Blue, on the canyon floor.
