Boiling Mire

At the southern edge of Broadling Woods lies an expanse of marshland known as Boiling Mire. It stretches from the forest all the way to the southern coast, making travel east from Mistcliff difficult. The region gets its name from various geysers and hot pools dotting the wetlands. Unwary travellers are likely to stumble into these, simply get stuck in the viscous mud throughout the area, or fall victim to viscious beasts that call the mire home. Carts and horses are all but impossible to bring through the swamp without them getting stuck. The only people who know the safe routes through the mire are the Treewalkers' Enclave, and they do not share their secrets easily.
