Physical Description

Body Features

Priests of Pelor come in a variety of shapes and sizes and rarely follow a distinct norm.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Clergymen of Pelor are pious people and will dedicate years of their lives to the God of the Sun. In the Radiant Empire, prospective priests will usually attend the College D' Sol. Some priests from other nations also attend, which the college is happy to accept.

Education

Priests of Pelor will typically attend the Solar College in Godry Seic, where they study various fields. These different fields often include medicine, magic, political philosophy, and mathematics. The college has become so ubiquitous that it is commonly accepted that no priest hasn't come from here.

Employment

Priests work in a variety of jobs and careers. In small villages and towns, they generally remain in service of a church, but some do carry the old tradition of ruling over villages. They rarely serve as advisors to lords, however, as oftentimes they are the lords themselves. A traveling priest will work in a similar fashion to a knight errant, wandering about performing deeds, seeking favour from locals lords, and slowly climbing the ranks of the college.

Taboos

It is considered taboo to leave the home either in the morning or night without a light source, whether it be a candle, a torch, or some magical source. The belief derives from the natural fear of darkness. It is believed that if you leave the home without light, then the darkness of the night can engulf you.

Social

Family Ties

Considered the Progenitor God of the Radian People. The current imperial family claims divine lineage from him, though it is impossible to truly determine that.

Mannerisms

Though many Radains considered Pelor the forefather of their empire, he remains oddly silent on the subject, either outright refusing to answer, or withholding favour until the subject is dropped.
