Recruited by Captain Edward Drake to the Golden Drake Pirates at a young age, Tiago Tempestade has proven himself to be a loyal asset to the fleet. Self-taught in the way of sword fighting, Tiago is lethal against any opponent. Yet his young age and inexperience in the real world shows he has a lot to learn.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Standing at 6'0" tall and weighing approximetaly 170lbs, his years of training and action have developed a pristine lean athletic physique. He is agile and quick on his feet, feeding well to his fighting style.
Body Features
Due to his air genasi heritage, Tiago has skin the color of the sky on a clear day. Small traditional pirate tattoos decorate his skin in white ink, placed seemingly at random. His hair is as white as a cloud and usually is long enough to just graze his shoulders.
Facial Features
Tiago carries a youthful face, though often with a drab or bored expression.
Physical quirks
As an air genasi, it appears that a slight breeze constantly follows Tiago ruffling both his loose fitting clothing and hair. A faint breeze like echo accompanies the few quiet words that he lets out as well. However, when he begins to see any sort of action the breeze grows noticeably stronger and that same echo becomes slightly louder and thunder-like.
Special abilities
Tiago possesses the ability to manifest a physical echo of himself that can act along side him at his mental command. It is believed this ability is somehow linked to his Djinn father which Tiago has never met. No one has been able to explain the ability as of yet, but Tiago has managed to construct his fighting style around it.
Apparel & Accessories
It is clear that Tiago does not hold any significant value in flashy jewelry or extravagant clothing. He wears a simple loose fitting white shirt that exposes a portion of his chest, accompanied by simple dark breeches and knee high black leather boots. At his side rests his rapier, which though simple in design is clearly well maintained.

Personal history
Early Life
As a result of the relationship between his mother Andreia and his unknown father, a Djinn from the air elemental plane, Tiago was born an air genasi. The small village that Andreia called home was not accustomed to such an oddity at the time, and through his childhood Tiago was mocked and avoided by his peers. Yet, growing up Tiago would assist his mother in whatever she needed and the two held a strong bond with each other. As he got older however, he would teach himself how to wield a rapier and for the first time he would discover that his genasi genes provided him with an athletic advantage. He quickly became an extremely skilled fighter and in his teen years, against the wishes of his mother, he began accepting mercenary contracts to help provide his family with funds.
Manifesting The Echo
During his later teen years Tiago took up a contract serving as a bodyguard for a small merchant ship moving past Patun. Unsurprisingly the ship was attacked by a lone pirate crew and quickly outnumbered Tiago and the other less-skilled guards aboard the ship. Nonetheless Tiago refused a surrender and single handedly fended off half of the pirate crew before it seemed he was outmatched. As he was about to be struck down by two simultaneous attacks he mentally commanded his body to block both, knowing he could only physically block one. To his surprise however he was not hit, and he turned to see a translucent reflection of himself having blocked the other attack. While this was a shock to him, he quickly realized that this reflection acted as if he were commanding his own body to do so. It was an echo of himself, and with his newfound ability he was able to protect the merchant ship. Tiago would train and develop his fighting style to coincide with this ability, without knowing anything about it accept that it must have been a genetic gift from his father. He became well-known, and heavily sought after as a mercenary in the area surrounding his village.
Recruitment into the Golden Drakes
Tiago's notoriety as a free-lance mercenary would eventually make its way to Captain Edward Drake of the Golden Drake Pirates. Out of simple curiosity Drake would travel to Patun under the guise of a merchant to hire the young Tiago for a temporary contract. With Tiago on his ship, he purposely sailed into enemy pirate territory baiting an attack on his apparent merchant ship. Eventually his plan worked and the ship was attacked by 3 pirate ships. Drake had ordered his crew beforehand not to break cover in order to truly see what the boy was capable of. He was quickly impressed as Tiago dove overboard and seemingly used the winds to shoot himself up onto an enemy ship using his echo to assist him in decommissioning it. The excitement would lead Drake to breaking his own cover to join the fight demonstrating power that Tiago had never seen before. The two moved from ship to ship fighting off the small flotilla without any assistance from Drake's crew.
Once the Drake's ship returned to Patun he would explain his true identity and requested that Tiago join his crew permanently proclaiming "with a boy like you, who needs an army?" Tiago immediately refused, and began his walk home. Drake, dumbfounded that young Tiago would not even consider the offer, followed him the entire way home continuing to pester him until the two arrived outside Tiago's small cottage home. There, Tiago's mother Andreia would meet the two, and Drake managed to charm himself into an invite inside for dinner. Drake explained to Andreia his identity and his request for Tiago to join his crew. Andreia of course was hesitant of this but would eventually explain to her son that she does not wish for him to stay in the village forever and that she believed him to be capable of much more. Drake now realizing the reason Tiago would not leave assured him that as long as he was serving under his flag, Tiago's mother would not have to worry about anything again. Remembering the display of strength by Drake against the enemy pirates, Tiago finally agreed to sail with him.
Serving Under Pearl-Eye Pete
Tiago would only spend a short time with Drake, as the captain was more inclined to go off on adventures alone or with his closest companion Saya. Tiago's talents would be moved onto The Ship Squasher. A large ship captained by Pearl-Eye Pete. Aboard this ship he befriended the eccentric Pete whom he saw as a mentor. Although Pete often rambled in a seemingly insensible manner, the two would maintain long conversations with each other that other crew members had difficulty understanding. Considering himself a demolitions expert with a fascination with pyrotechnics, Pete was able to pass on a small amount of his knowledge to Tiago, who would operate the ships Dragon Head. Pete would also often tease Tiago due to his preference of close range fighting with his rapier. He would eventually gift him a small pistol from his personal arsenal which Tiago still carries at his side, though rarely ever makes use of.
On Assignment With The Iron Typhoon
Tiago quickly rose through the ranks within The Golden Drake Pirates. He would become well-known amongst the fleet as one of the more dangerous combatants. However, he would continue to be quick to pass up any positions of authority presented to him. Eventually the fleets chief medic commonly referred to as 'Doc' fell ill with a mysterious sickness. Captain Drake chose to send a small crew aboard The Iron Typhoon, a mid-sized ship not yet under a captain, to either find a cure or a replacement for Doc. Due to his experience, the ships Captaincy was presented to Tiago, who unsurprisingly turned down the opportunity. The offer was then extended to Bartholomew Barbarossa, a fairly recent recruit to the fleet who's decades of experience at sea quickly moved him up through the ranks as well. Under Captain Bart, and with the observation of Drake's second in command Saya, The Typhoon made its months long trek to find a cure for Doc. Along this journey Tiago would develop a loyalty toward his new captain second only to that of Captain Drake himself.

Tiago has received the standard academic education provided in his home village of Patun up until his teen years. He is self-taught in the use of his rapier.
Employment
Tiago currently serves under The Golden Drake Pirates, recently placed in charge of his own ship the "Who Are You?".

Motivation
While his original motivation in traveling with The Golden Drakes was to provide for his mother, Tiago quickly learned to appreciate the opportunity to travel on the open see and explore. With his mother being taken care of by direct order from Saya, Tiago's focus is now in serving the fleet and demonstrating his loyalty, all while continuing to see the world.
Vices & Personality flaws
Tiago's biggest flaw is his quickness to jump into battle, regardless of the strength of his opponent. Although he will be quick to settle down if given the order to do so by a superior.

Family Ties
Tiago's only true family tie is his mother Andreia Tempestade who raised him by herself in their home village. Andreia is a hardy woman who taught Tiago to remain disciplined and keep a fighting spirit. While she remains in the village, Tiago has ensured, along with the help of Saya and Edward of the Golden Drakes, that she has everything she needs provided for her.
Mannerisms
Tiago displays signs of social awkwardness in most situations. He speaks very softly and quietly if at all, and often simply comments on situations to himself. Physically he tends to keep a bored expression and acts in a monotone manner. Though he has grown to act more socially comfortable around the crewmates closest to him, which he considers friends.
