God of dreams and nightmares

Istus is the inscrutable and elusive God of Dreams and Nightmares. It is believed that he guards the passage of mortals into the realm of dreams and gives them the visions they experience within. His servants guard those that slumber and deliver divine portents to select few chosen. Istus is one of the least popular deities of the pantheon, since he rarely communicates with his worshippers and his motives and intentions concerning mortals are unclear. He is mainly revered by small cults and obscure tribes. To clerics and paladins Istus grants powers within the domain of augury.
Istus is depicted with a heavy cloak that obscures his body and various different versions of elaborate masks that hide his face.
