Circle of Tranquility

The Circle of Tranquility is an ellondothan circle of environmentalists and asceticists. Tranquilists believe that mortals should exist in the world on nature's terms, altering the natural state as little as possible and causing no damage to their environment. Like the Corellians, the Circle of Tranquility is a strong proponent of the importance of a physical existence as opposed to the artificial entertainments of the Weave that are exceedingly popular in contemporary Ellondoth.
There are numerous interpretations of environmentalism within the Circle of Tranquility. The most radical philosophies refuse to engage with nature at all so as not to interfere with it in any way -- even a single berry picked from the forest to nourish oneself is an unacceptable disturbance of the natural state. Most widespread is the so-called moderate tranquilism which sees all creations of the gods as equal. Every species has equal rights to make use of the natural world and and an equal responsibility to possibly be made use of by other species in turn. Moderatists treat nature and all its denizens with the utmost respect and often even sacrifice their own well-being in order to allow animals and plants to thrive around them.
Other subgroups within the circle work in the field of natural design, magically shaping and guiding natural growth to otherwise impossible heights. Magically perfected plant species, preventing natural disasters, and healing sick or injured animals are all methods accepted by such tranquilists.
Most members of the Circle of Tranquility dwell away from the levitating cloudsoil cities in the beautiful nature of Ellondoth. Some live in settlements either small or large while others eke out meager existences as hermits deep within the wilds.
