The Brattle
The Brathal
The Brattle river, derived from the Elven 'Brathal,' is a massive water system traversing Brattle Province, southern Northermark, and northern Sandpoint. Its waters, akin to the Linn River, primarily originate from Erodan's heights. Similarly, many of Brattle's streams spring from the Serpentine Depths. Notably, the Devil's Finger, Hagfinger, and Gnollfinger rivers flow through the Three Fingers area in Northermark, joining to form the Lesser Brathal near Brattle city. Beyond Fallcreek, the Upper, Lesser, Greater, and Lower Talons rivers merge into the Talons. The Brathal proper begins at Fernflower Falls and its adjacent lake at the base of the Great Escarpment, flowing westward. It collects the waters of the Downwater and Yellowcreek by the Cairn Hills. Approaching Springstone, it turns north, merging with the Herding and later, near Wallwater, with the Ogrewine from Goblinwood. Near Lugbridge, the Talons amalgamate with the Brathal, followed by the Lesser Brathal, eventually draining into the Bay of Amlothim, just east of Brattport.
